Qatar Condemns Attack on Tunisian Army Patrol in Kasserine Governorate

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha, August 31 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the bombing that targeted a Tunisian army patrol on Monday in Mount Sammama in Kasserine governorate near the border with Algerian, killing and wounding a number of people.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday that this criminal act is contrary to all humanitarian values, ethics and principles and religions, stressing Qatar's solidarity with the Tunisian government in its quest to establish security and stability in the country.

The statement reiterated the State of Qatar's stance rejecting violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and called for concerted international efforts to eradicate this dangerous scourge and to eliminate all its causes.

The statement also expressed sincere condolences to the Tunisian government and people and to the families of the victims of this evil crime. (QNA)
