Japan's industrial output flat in July

(MENAFN) Data compiled by The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed that Japan's industrial output's gains stopped in July after June's gains.

Accordingly, the flat reading compared with estimates from Reuters poll of a 0.8% increase, following a 2.3% increase in June.

Senior economist at Mizuho Research Institute said: "July output data was a little weak and it suggested factory activity was stalling, and output may temporarily rise in the current quarter as effects of Kumamoto earthquakes fade."
