Esteemed Top Speech Language Pathologist Marina-Elvira Papangelou, PhD, CCC-SLP, will be Featured in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare


(MENAFNEditorial) The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Marina-Elvira Papangelou, PhD, CCC-SLP, top speech language pathologist to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Dr. Papangelou is a highly-trained and qualified speech language pathologist with a vast expertise in all facets of her work. Dr. Papangelou has been in practice for 30 years and is currently serving patients as a specialist in the care of the occupational, professional, and artistic voice practicing at M & M International CEUS LLC dba Therapy ACES, which is an ASHA accredited continuing education provider in Houston, Texas. Furthermore, Dr. Papangelou is on staff at the Memorial Hermann Institute for Rehabilitation and Research outpatient clinic.

Dr. Papangelou received her Bachelor degree of Science from Queens College in Flushing, New York. In 1986, she went on to obtain her Master of Science degree from San Francisco State University. Dr. Papangelou holds a certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and received a PhD in voice and voice disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Papangelou maintains a professional membership with the Houston Association of Communication Disorders and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Dr. Papangelou was honored with the Continuing Education Award from ASHA five consecutive times. In 2007, she was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Dr. Papangelou is vocally and theatrically trained and speaks four languages, including Greek, German, French, and English. In addition, she dances ballet, is trained in Shiatsu massage, and plays the piano. Dr. Papangelou uses all of these areas of knowledge in order to enhance her therapy approaches. Moreover, she provides free treatments to people who cannot always afford to pay for their sessions. Earlier in her career, she offered free treatments to individuals with cochlear implants at the Greek Hospital in Evangelismos, Greece, her native country. Dr. Papangelou credits her success to her education, her hard work, having had exceptional teachers, and the ethics that her parents instilled in her. In her spare time, Dr. Papangelou enjoys classical music, fine arts, reading, hiking, sailing, swimming, and walking.
