DOHA: Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) organized a mass wedding for 100 people with disability at a cost of QR1.8m in Yemen.

Income generation projects were also launched for the beneficiaries so that they could lead happy lives with their spouses.

The project, 'Farhat w Nama” (happiness and development), was implemented in four cities of Yemen in collaboration with Jusur Foundation for Development Solution, RAF";s partner. The project was financed by the endowment fund of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani.

A mass wedding programme was held in Adan in March. The programme was attended by officials from the local authority, representatives from RAF and Jusur Foundation.

The initiative aims to integrate people with disabilities with the community and give them opportunities to contribute to the development of the country.
