Most of the report's eight chapters focus on the status of women in different areas, such as The Social Dimensions of Gender Inequality (chapter 3), Women at Work (chapter 4), Women, Politics and Leadership (chapter 5) and so on. According to the report, the status of women in these areas 'translates into lower opportunities for the well-being of women in particular and society as a whole' and determines the status women's equality and empowerment. Compared to previous decades, the last decade represents an improvement for women in education, health and other social services. With regards to the social dimension of gender parity, women in Africa still suffer from immense health issues because of a number of factors.
