GCC Youth Cup football tournament: Saudi Arabia routs Oman

Oman tasted its first defeat at the GCC Youth Cup football tournament when it was outplayed by Saudi Arabia 0-3 in Doha, Qatar on Monday.

Having won its previous two matches against Bahrain and Qatar, Oman's loss meant it remained on six points in the five-team event.

Saudis lead the table with six points from two games, while Oman has six from three matches.

Oman next plays UAE in its concluding league match on Wednesday where a victory will boost its chance for a podium finish.
