Jordan- FBI arrests man plans to attack police, burn mosque, has stockpile of weapons

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Washington, Aug.30 (Petra) -- The FBI late Saturday arrested a man in Boston, who threatened to kill Muslims, plant bombs in police stations, and attack a mosque.

The FBI said Joseph Gargiulo, 40, who lives in Massachusetts, maintained a large stockpile of ammunition, explosives material, assault rifle parts, ammunition, and handwritten notes threatening violence against Muslims in his home.

The FBI first learned of Garguilo's weapons stockpile and alleged threats in a July 27 tip from a female acquaintance of Garguilo's.

The woman, whose name was redacted, told authorities that Garguilo was storing weapons as well as food, water and explosive materials. She also told them Garguilo had said "he will plant bombs in police stations and kill as many homeland security officers as he can before they kill him," according to the affidavit.

Gargiulo's attorney, told reporters outside the courthouse that Gargiulo "denies making any threats to anybody." S Kh
