Samsung to build battery factory in Hungary


(MENAFN) Samsung SDI Co. confirmed that it will build an electric vehicle (EV) battery factory in Hungary, to make the new plant a European hub to supply EV batteries to automakers.

Additionally, they will spend more than USD257.7m on the factory, which will have enough capacity to make batteries to build 50,000 electric cars every year.

However, the factory will be fully operational in H2 of 2018.
