Budapest, Dhu-AlQa'dah 26, 1437, August 29, 2016, SPA -- Several top officials of Romania's secret service
are to be prosecuted on corruption charges, the country's
anti-corruption office (DNA) said Monday, according to dpa.
The DNA said it has filed charges against the head of homeland security at the Interior Ministry (Dipi), Rares Vaduva, as well as two of his predecessors and three previous top officials.
Investigators in Bucharest suspect Vaduva and former officials of abusing their position, forging documents and misappropriating money for private purchases.
In the last three years, Romania's anti-corruption office has taken legal action against thousands of state officials, including high-ranking politicians.
