Lithuania salary growth climbs to 8.1pct


(MENAFN) This year second quarter, the average gross monthly pay in Lithuania increased by 8.1 percent compared to the same period of 2015.

Furthermore, in the same period of this year the average wage reached USD865bn, while in the first quarter wage growth was 6.9 percent.

Additionally, the wage growth was influenced by larger labor volumes; a higher number of working hours, the minimum pay was increased to 350 euros.

Meanwhile, the pace of wage growth in the Lithuanian economy became a concern for economists, emphasizing the threats to the country productivity.
