US economic growth by 1.1% in Q2


(MENAFN) The Commerce department said that US economy grew at an annual rate of 1.1% in Q2 this year, down 1.2% comparing to the previous year.

That Growth followed a pace of 0.8% in Q1, registering a weak performance for the world's largest economy in H1 of 2016.

The Commerce Department said: "The acceleration in real GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in the second quarter primarily reflected acceleration in PCE (Personal Consumption Expenditure), a smaller decrease in nonresidential fixed investment, an upturn in exports, and a smaller decrease in federal government spending."
