Erdogan reiterates firmness against terrorists

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated Sunday his country's firmness against any terrorist act and organization, official media reported.

"Turkey has no toleration for any terrorist organization activities within its borders and nearby," Erdogan said while addressing a crowd in central Gaziantep, where 54 guests at a wedding party, including 34 children, were killed on August 20th, according to Anadolu Agency (AA).

He also confirmed that Turkey will not surrender to terrorism and its methods, noting that all terrorist organizations serve the same cause.

"We know the same face is behind all of them," he said, noting that his country is currently facing attacks from the so-called Islamic State (IS) as well as the PKK, and is also engaged in supporting the Free Syrian Army against the PKK/PYD in Syria.

"Our operations against the separatist organization will continue without interruption," he affirmed. (end) rs.ma
