RAF hands over 15 homes in Gaza

DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has handed over some 15 housing units of the ‘Houses of Gaza People"; project to beneficiaries who lost their homes in recent Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip. The project cost QR1.5m.

Despite blockade imposed on Gaza, RAF implemented the project in collaboration with partners and delivered homes to beneficiaries during a ceremony attended by representatives of public and private entities.

Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mofeed Al Hasayneh, stressed the importance of the project carried out with high 'accuracy” and 'transparency” and praised Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, government and people for standing by their brothers in Palestine and supporting them through reconstruction projects, RAF said in a statement.

At least 60 percent of the destroyed homes have been rebuilt and over 130,000 homes which had been damaged partially, were repaired, in cooperation with institutions and authorities, particularly Qatar, Al Hasayneh added.
