Oman- Al Hassan Engineering achieves HSE milestone

Al Hassan Engineering Co (AHEC) has achieved 11mn Loss Time Incident (LTI) - free man hours at Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP).

In Aug 2014, AHEC was awarded the project to carry out civils and underground piping work at the Sohar Refinery Improvement Project in Oman.

The company has been employed by the Daelim-Petrofac joint venture. The refinery, which is based in Sohar around 230km north west of Muscat, was originally opened in 2006. The improvement work includes the addition of new refinery units. Once complete, it will increase the capacity of the refinery by over 70 per cent.

AHEC has executed a number of projects in oil & gas, petrochemicals, power and water sectors without any LTIs.
