Scientific forum of GCC Geographical Society to be organised in Salalah

The fifth Scientific Conference of the GCC Geographical Society will begin in Salalah on Tuesday.

It will be held under the theme, 'Geographical Dimensions of Tourism Development in the GCC States: Reality, Expectations and Future Challenges'.

It is being organised by the Department of Geography, College of Arts and Social Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), in cooperation with the GCC Geographical Society, the Ministry of Tourism and the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar. The conference will discuss tourism in GCC states, study of tourism and its impact on environment, study of tourism sites and services in the GCC and the study of local, regional and global tourism governing laws.
