(MENAFN) Minister of Intl" Cooperation reached a deal with the World Bank in order to increase the number of governorate involved in the Natural Gas Supply Project to 20.
Accordingly, the gas supply will reach 2.4mn houses among the course of four years, while 1.1mn of these houses will be located in 11 governorates, like Giza.
Moreover, the country must guarantee the sustainable energy policy, whereas linking the gas project with the social housing project.
Last year, the EU arranged Egypt a "68mn loan for the natural gas supply project, which aimed to involve 11 governorates, to help supply natural gas to low-income villages.
