Oman budget deficit posts USD9bn in H1


(MENAFN) Oman recorded a budget deficit of USD9.1bn in the first half of the current year, compared with a deficit of RO1.92bn a year earlier.

Additionally, the government original 2016 budget plan viewed state spending of RO11.9bn and profits of RO8.6bn.

Accordingly, the Sultanate 2016 economic plans assumed an average oil price of USD45 a barrel.
