Hockey powerhouse Al Nasr captured its third Oman Hockey League crown on Monday night when it trounced Bausher 3-0 in a lop-sided final at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.

The Salalah-based club, which last claimed the national title in 2013, led 1-0 at half-time.

Pakistani import Mohammed Aleem struck a brace with the first of his goal coming in the fourth minute of the match.

Aleem then extended the lead in the 55th minute, and nine minutes later, Oman international Younis Ghabish al Nofli completed the rout.

Al Nasr had lost the final last year to Ahli-Sidab, which could manage only a third-place finish this year.
