Kuwaiti hunted for failing to clear debt

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Police are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti for failing to pay debt, and forcing an unidentified person with the help of his lawyer son, a police investigator and a police officer to sign a promissory note, reports Al-Rai daily. Earlier it was reported that the son (attorney) and his father the debtor were summoned by the Public Prosecutor after the victim filed a complaint accusing the four men of forcing him to sign a promissory note. At the Public Prosecution office at the Palace of Justice the son sensed his father would be arrested for committing the crime and both the son and the father under some pretext escaped from there. When they were summoned by the Prosecution, they refused to produce themselves and subsequently an arrest warrant was issued against them. According to reports the lawyer is said to have escaped to New Zealand after he learnt an arrest warrant has been issued against him. In the meantime, police are looking for the father. '67% firms active': Sixty-seven percent of the companies and institutions are carrying out proactive tests periodically to protect the IT infrastructure and vital data, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting sources. The daily added, these companies follow several methods to prevent employees from abusing the Internet and social media sites. The sources said 18 percent of the companies prevent employees from using the Internet, and other 18 percent ban the use of social networking websites, 42 percent ban access to inappropriate sites and 22 percent of the companies monitor the staff activity. The sources pointed out penetration into the system of the companies happen in three ways — 35 percent by the employees themselves, 36 percent by hackers and 29 percent due to the failure of the system
