Nigeria Hails Morocco's 'Pioneering' Experience in Fighting Climate Change


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Nigeria hopes to benefit from the 'pioneering' experience of Morocco in fighting climate change, said, Tuesday in Rabat, Nigerian Minister of the Environment, Amina Mohammed.

'There are many things to learn from the Moroccan pioneering experience in fighting climate change and greenhouse gas emissions,' Amina Mohammed told the press following her meeting with Minister Delegate for the Environment Hakima El Haite.

The Nigerian official, who praised cooperation between her country and Morocco in the field of environment, said she had discussed with El Haite several issues of bilateral interest.

For her part, the Moroccan Minister highlighted the importance of this visit which is part of preparations for COP22, slated for November in Marrakech.
