Morocco- Traffic Accidents Kill 26 People in Urabn Ares Last Week

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Twenty-six people were killed and 1,544 were injured, including 60 seriously, in the 1,179 road accidents in urban areas last week, the Moroccan police said.

These accidents were mainly ascribed to non-control of vehicles, non-respect of priority, excessive speeding, pedestrian and driver errors and driving under the influence of alcohol, the Moroccan police said in a statement.

Over 28,065 traffic tickets were issued by the police during the same week. The sum of fines paid by road traffic violators stood at 5,165,800 dirhams, the same source said.
