Dubai seeks extradition of Indian who killed his wife


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Authorities in Dubai have stepped up efforts to extradite an Indian man who was allegedly involved in the cold-blooded murder of his wife here last year.

Dubai Police have found that the 34-year-old Indian suspect, A. K., arrived in Dubai on a visit visa one week before S.K.B's death and returned to his home country on the day of crime.

The incident that happened on Aug. 27, 2015 unfolded a dispute between the Indian couple which eventually led to the death of the Indian woman.

According to Dubai Police they received an information about a woman found dead in a residential building in Jumierah Lake Towers (JLT) on Aug. 31.

The Dubai Police who rushed to the site found the woman lying in pool of blood and was covered with a bed sheet in flat No: 4302 of the Lake Point Tower at JLT.

The police found that the deceased was 28-year-old S.K.B who was working as a cook in the D.C.C.

A Filipino complainant told the police that she received a call from a chef telling her the victim was absent from work for two days and she was not responding to their calls.

The woman called her compatriot living in the same flat and asked her whether the victim was inside the room.

She confirmed that she was there but did not come out in the past two days.

The Filipino said: "I called the owner of the flat who came and opened the door, where we saw the dead body."

The forensic experts collected the evidences carried out an investigation which showed that the woman's husband was A.K, who revisited Dubai and left the country on Aug. 27.

During the public prosecution interrogation the watchman informed that the husband came to the country before five months, left and then came back.

He returned to Dubai one week before the woman found dead and was living with the woman in the flat and he had seen him coming out of the flat.

The Filipino woman who shared the flat with the victim said that there was a dispute between the couple and heard the woman screaming, but never thought the man would killed her.

The Dubai Public Prosecution has taken the necessary steps to extradite the murderer and bring before the law.
