Malaysia Petronas profits drop by 85pct


(MENAFN) Malaysia oil giant Petronas proclaimed that its revenues for Q2 this year recorded an 85 percent decline compared to the same period of 2015.

Additionally, profits from April to June were down to USD400.8mn, from last year 11.067mn ringgit.

Oil and gas recorded a notable fall in fiscal performances, while the firm has charted modest increase in the cited period from better overall operational efficiencies.

The state-owned firm exposed actual savings amounting to 1.01bn ringgit as of June 30, bringing the whole costs saved since the launch of the initiative to 3.41b ringgit.
