(MENAFN) According to industry data, giant S. Korean Samsung Electronics Co. posted a gain in sales of semiconductors for Q2 of the year, narrowing gap with its opponent Intel Corp.
While Samsung's semiconductors' sales grew 11 on quarter to USD10.3b for Q2, Intel's sales dropped 1% to USD12.b for the same period.
Furthermore, the market-share gap between Samsung and Intel stood at 5.3% in 2012, 4.2% in 2013, 3.4% in 2014, and 3.2% in 2015.
