Egypt exports to UAE grows by 112pct


(MENAFN) Egyptian exports to the UAE recorded USD1.125bn in the first half of this year, compared to USD530mn amid the same period of 2015, a growth of 112pct.

Accordingly, imports to Egypt from the UAE declined by 43 percent in the cited half of the current year to post USD361mn, compared to USD629m in 2015.

Meanwhile, the trade balance between both sides achieved surplus in Egypt for the first time with a value of USD746mn.

The increase in Egypt exports come to many reasons, involving the success of promotional efforts in showing Egyptian products to Emirates consumers.
