Oman Cricket Board chairman meets Pakistani ambassador

Kanak G Khimji, chairman, Oman Cricket Board (OCB), paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Pakistan, H E Ali Javed on Sunday.

He was accompanied by Madhursinh Jeisrani, secretary general, OCB; Kiran Asher, treasurer, OCB and Duleep Mendis, coach, Oman national cricket team. Chief operating officer, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Subhan Ahmad joined the meeting via telephone.

The ambassador congratulated OCB on the performance of the Omani cricket team in T20 World Cup 2016 and highlighted the importance of sports in building bilateral friendship. The OCB chairman praised relations with PCB and stated that the Government of Oman has generously supported promotion of cricket in Oman.

On the occasion PCB and OCB discussed bilateral cricket ties. Chairman OCB invited the ambassador to view cricketing facilities.
Both sides concluded the meeting with a firm commitment to furthering bilateral cricketing ties and promoting cricket in Oman.

Maheed Naveed Atif, deputy head of mission and spokesperson of the embassy Syedah Ramallah Ali joined the meeting.
