Kuwaiti girl jumps to death in Mahboula Suicide, says mother

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: A Kuwaiti girl died after falling from an apartment on the fifth floor of a building in Mahboula area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a Kuwait woman that her daughter jumped from the window of their apartment on the fifth floor of the building, securitymen rushed to the location with paramedics and examined the girl to discover she was dead. Her body was referred to the Forensics Department. When questioned, the Kuwaiti woman insisted that her daughter committed suicide. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the suicide.

Securityman stabbed: A mentally unstable Kuwaiti girl stabbed a securitymen on his shoulder while he was chasing her after her escape from the Psychology Medicine Hospital. According to security sources, the girl and her father were at the Psychology Medicine Hospital for checkup when she ran away from her father. He started running after her and shouting at her to stop. This scene caught the attention of a police officer who then joined the chase and tried to catch her. However, she pulled out a sharp object from her pocket and stabbed him on his shoulder, but he did not sustain any serious injuries. He managed to control her and take her back to the Psychology Medicine Hospital. Necessary action was taken.

Woman swindled: An old Kuwaiti woman fell victim to swindling through telephone in spite of the repeated warnings issued by telecommunication companies that the public should be wary of calls giving them the illusion of winning big cash prizes, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, the victim, who lives in Al-Salaam and was born in 1951, received a phone call from a man who claimed to be an employee of a telecommunications company saying she won KD 50,000. The man asked for her bank account number and password. Shortly after ending the call, the victim received a message informing her about the withdrawal of KD 7,000 from her account instead of receiving KD 50,000. Bank document forgery case number 20/2016 was filed at Al-Salaam Police Station.
