Bahrain condemns bomb attack in Turkey

MANAMA, 21st August, 2016 (WAM) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain has condemned the "terrorist attack in the city of Gaziantep in the Republic of Turkey" that claimed scores of lives and wounded many others at a wedding.

Bahrain News Agency, BNA, quoted a statement from the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying, "The ministry expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery for those injured as a result of this terrorist attack that aims to destabilise security and stability. It affirms its solidarity with the Republic of Turkey in its fight against extremism, violence and terrorism."

The ministry renewed the country's unwavering position in denunciation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It also called for concerted international efforts to eradicate the menace of terrorism which constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, and to eliminate its root causes and dry up its funding sources.
