Death toll rises to 30 in terror attack in Turkey

GAZIANTEP, Turkey, 21st August, 2016 (WAM) -- It is now said that at least 30 people were killed and 94 others wounded in a blast at a wedding ceremony on Saturday night in southeastern Turkey, the regional governor said.

The Anadolu News Agency of Turkey quoted a statement from governor's office which says that the "terror attack" took place in the Beybahce neighborhood of the Gaziantep province's Sahinbey district.

Speaking to reporters in Gaziantep, Health Minister Recep Akdag said there were 73 people undergoing treatment from the attack, including 17 in critical condition.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
