Kuwait 6th among Arab countries and 39th globally in gold reserves

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18, Kuwait has been ranked sixth among Arab countries and 39th globally in terms of gold reserves. According to a report issued by the International Gold Council, Kuwait has 79 tons of gold reserves at the end of the second quarter of 2016, reports Aljarida daily.

The report stated that these gold reserves constitute 10 percent of the total reserves of Kuwait. The United States tops the global list with gold reserves that constitute 75 percent of its total reserves. Saudi Arabia has been ranked first among the Arab countries and 16th worldwide with a total of 333 tons of gold reserves.
