Qatar- Lexus models recalled over airbag defect

Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co W.L.L, dealer of Lexus vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of Lexus IS-F models of 2010-2011, IS-Convert/GX460 models of 2009-2011 and ES350 and IS250 models of 2006-2011 due to a defect in the airbag inflator kit on the passenger side.

The ministry said the recall is within the framework of its efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on maintenance and repairs and communicate with customers to ensure that repairs are carried out.
