Kuwait- Zarif: There is weakness in implementing JCPOA
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has echoed grievances about US lagging behind implementing JCPOA.
Addressing a meeting with members of parliamentary commission on national security and foreign policy on Tuesday, Zarif said his country and the European partners have exerted pressure on the US to take a practical action to implement the nuclear deal.
He added that advances were made with the European parties to the deal.
The minister, meanwhile, noted that oil exports has come to normal levels after lifting international sanctions.
For his part, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a press statement today that the ministry submitted a proposal on "possible violations" of the provisions of the nuclear agreement to the body tasked with the implementation of the deal.
"We are pursuing all the issues in the form of a joint committee," said Araqchi, according to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
He stressed that the US and European Union should lift banking obstacles imposed on international deals and activate their financial sanctions with Tehran.
On purchasing Airbus, Araghchi affirmed that Washington has pledged, in the framework of the nuclear agreement, to lift the ban on the Iranian aerospace industries that lasted for 35 years.
Last year, the P5+1 group -- the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany -- reached a comprehensive nuclear deal with Iran last year.
