(MENAFN) For the second straight month in New York, factories activity slowed and manufacturers cut jobs in the state.
According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Empire state manufacturing index decreased to -4.2, from 0.55 in July.
However, US factories have shed 30.000 jobs in the past year, while manufacturing had struggled in the past year and a half.
