Kuwait seeks to eliminate impediments to development projects


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 15 (KUNA) -- Minister of Social Affairs and labor and Minister of State for Planning and Development Dr. Hind Al-Sabeeh studied on Monday various strategies to eliminate any impediments that could encumber development projects in the country.

Al-Sabeeh, who is also Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry, met with National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SME) officials to examine ways to encourage youth to translate their ideas into special projects, a statement by SME noted.

Moreover, SME's Chairman Mohammad Al-Zhair said that the meeting tackled future plans germane to an agreement signed with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) regarding impending development projects.

She was also briefed on the works of the SME, which was formed in April of 2013 with the task of ensuring an environment conducive to entrepreneurship, the statement added. (end) aas.nam
