Morocco Arrests Four Nigerians Who Hid Cocaine in Their Stomachs


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) The police services of Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport arrested, Saturday night, four Nigerian passengers suspected of hiding cocaine capsules in their stomachs, said Sunday the national police (DGSN).

The suspects, arrived the same evening on a flight from the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo and were about to leave the Airport to Cotonou (Benin) and Freetown (Sierra Leone). They were arrested after undergoing a CT scan that revealed the presence of drug capsules in their stomachs.

The Nigerian nationals, aged between 29 and 45, were placed under medical supervision in the Ibn Rochd hospital of Casablanca, pending the identification of the nature of capsules before being brought to justice.

This operation is part of police services' efforts to combat transnational crime, particularly international drug trafficking.
