Qatar Partakes in Meeting to Amend Arab League Charter


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo, August 14 (QNA) - The State of Qatar on Sunday took part in the tenth meeting of the work team on reviewing the Arab League Charter.
The meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Saudi Permanent representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Ahmed Abdulaziz Qattan, discussed the 8th draft of the proposed amendments to Arab League charter, and the comments received by the General Secretariat after discussing the draft. UAE, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait made a number of observations on the Arab League Charter.
The State of Qatar was represented in the meeting by Minister Plenipotentiary Yasir Awad, Acting Charge d'Affairs in Qatar's Embassy in Cairo In remarks following the meeting, Ambassador Qattan said that the meeting comes in the framework of implementing the decisions of the Arab League ministerial council regarding the amendment of the Charter and the development of the intellectual framework for the joint Arab action.
