UAE partakes in regional scout meeting

ABU DHABI, 14th August, 2016 (WAM) --- A delegation from the Emirates Scout Association recently participated in a meeting of the coordination committee of scout leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The UAE delegation was headed by Chairman of the UAE Scout Leaders Committee, Dr. Abdullah Al Musharrikh, and included Secretary-General of the UAE Scout Association, Dr Ahmed Al Dosari, and members of the board Abdulrahim Al Awadhi and Ali Mohammed Al Baloushi.

Al Dosari said the participants approved amendments to the bylaws of the committee and a proposal from the UAE Scout Leaders Committee for introducing a new organisational structure for the regional scout committee and setting up an executive office for the body.

A commission was set up during the meeting to consider the proposed structure with the UAE, represented by Al Dosari, as well as Bahrain and Kuwait, were named as members.
