(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- The National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL) on Saturday held a gallery for Kuwait's historical buildings as part of the its 11th Summer Cultural Festival.
The gallery is part of the NCCAL's policy, to promote awareness on the cultural significance of the buildings, Director of the NCCAL's Museums and Antiquities Department Salman Boland told KUNA.
It displays replicas of heritage buildings, such as the Kuwait Gates, with explanatory data and photographs provided, he added.
In addition, the event offers visitors a brief account of the restoration processes carried out by the NCCAL of the old buildings, for their splendor, and value in Kuwait's history.
Other replicas feature Beit al-Badr, the Red Fort, the Sedu House, the Museum of Modern Art, the American Hospital, the Dixon Cultural Center.
The Summer Festival, running as far as August 20, is organized annually with various events that help young people enhance their cultural, literary, artistic and scientific skills and abilities. (end) shd.msa
