Qatar- 1,913 properties linked with water networks in Q2

DOHA: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has connected 1,913 new properties with its water network during the second quarter of this year.

The average water consumption during the period was 320 million gallons daily. The Water Network Affairs Section resolved 12,926 complaints and carried out maintenance work on 163 facilities such as water pumping plants and water tanks.

New water networks were established, totalling the overall length of 36km, with the diameters ranging from 100 metres to 900 metres to improve performance of water network and connected them with new customers.

A nine-million-gallon reservoir has been established in Al Wukair. The average of strategic reserve of water is in the range of 90 percent of the total storage while the actual water loss in the networks reduced to 4.3 percent of the total water transmitted and distributed.
