UAE- Al Wahda, Balazs reach agreement

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Al Wahda FC have reached an agreement worth Euro 3 million with Turkish club Bursaspor to bring Hungarian national captain Balazs Dzsudzsak to the Al Nahyan Stadium.

Once bitten, twice shy. Following the goof-up on Brazilian striker Tiago Alves Sales' deal from Korean club Seongnam FC, the Abu Dhabi club has ensured that an agreement has been reached to obtain International transfer Certificate for Dzsudzsak with the parent club and the player himself.

"This agreement is in principle and will become final when the player passes the medical test and signs all the contracts," the club said in a statement on Sunday.

The 'Clarets' said Dzsudzsak was 'one of the options' looked at by head coach Javier Aguirre.

"He will add quality to our squad upon completion of his contract," the club said.

Aguirre was looking at someone to complement goal-scoring machine Sebastian Tagliabue and seems to have met a lethal match.

Dzsudzsak, 29, was a revelation at the Euro 2016. He was effective during the group stages and displayed his prowess with a double strike against Portugal in their 3-3 draw. The 29-year-old can play as right winger and also operate on his left foot.

Dzsudzsak will replace Brazilian Denilson Pereira, who has moved to Cruzeiro on loan. Dzsudzsak along with Chilean Jorge Valdivia, Korean Rim Chang-woo and Argentine Tagliabue complete Al Wahda's foreign quartet.

Dzsudzsak began his career at Hungarian side Debreceni VSC in 2004. He won consecutive league titles in each of his three seasons. In 2007, he joined PSV Eindhoven and later he played at Russian Premier League clubs Anzhi Makhachkala and Dynamo Moscow, where he scored 13 goals in 89 appearances. He joined Turkish side Bursaspor in 2015.

Earlier, Romanian newspaper ProSport had said the winger no longer wanted to continue with Bursaspor. He had reportedly said the terror attacks in Turkey worried him.

Dzsudzsak is one player who is improving with age and has scored 20 goals in 80 odd appearances for Hungary national team. And once his medical tests are through, he will prove to be crucial to Aguirre's strategies for the new season.

Al Wahda, meanwhile, are still keeping 'all options open until all relevant regulatory processes are completed'.
