Texas Diversity Council Hosts 2016 Gulf Coast Healthcare Diversity Summit


(MENAFNEditorial) Houston, TX – – On August 11, 2016 the Texas Diversity Council will host the 2016 Gulf Coast Healthcare Diversity Summit at Houston Methodist Research Institute Auditorium from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The theme of this year";s summit is ''Many Faces Addressing Diversity & Inclusion in Healthcare.” This event is designed to provide healthcare practitioners, administrators, students and professionals with a clear understanding of philosophies and processes that strengthen culturally competent care delivery.

''The Healthcare Diversity Summit is an excellent platform to highlight the benefits of diversity in healthcare,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder & Chair of the National Diversity Council. '' Networking and obtaining valuable knowledge from reputable sources is a great start to improving diversity in the field.”

The summit will open with registration, refreshments, and networking from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Participants will then discuss how to build an organizational workforce that is culturally competent and inclusive with various executives from healthcare organizations in the gulf coast area. Highlighted topics will include ''Diversity in Action,” and ''Becoming a Culture of Inclusive Excellence.” Following the discussion, panelist will open the floor for a question and answer session.
