UK rejects 35 Kuwaiti students - No to Dutch universities pupils

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: Knowledgeable sources from the Ministry of Higher Education disclosed that some universities in London have rejected 35 Kuwaitis studying in Dutch universities that require students from the Faculty of Medicine to study in Dutch to prepare them for their service in Netherlands hospitals, reports Al-Anba daily.

The same sources pointed out that Ministry of Higher Education is stunned with the universities' response seeing the students are in their fourth year.

Sources noted Bahrain and Jordan honored a call the ministry made to several countries earlier to accept Kuwaitis studying in Holland, indicating negotiations are underway with Malta in that concern after the negative response it received from London universities
