Saudi King Meets Arab Leaders in Tangier


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Saudi King Salmane ben Abdelaziz received the Vice President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa, two weeks ago at his residence in Tangier. On Saturday, he also received the Emir of Qatar,Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The Saudi King met the Qatari Emir to discuss multiple international and common interest issues to strengthen the bonds between the two countries.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques hosted dinner at the honor of the Qatari Emir in the presence of many princes and ministers, including Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's Second Deputy Prime Minister and the youngest Defense Minister in the world.

On July 31st, the Saudi King metSheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, at his Tangier residence to discuss the Middle East and attend a banquet hosted by the Saudi King.

The Saudi King also met Omer al Bashir, the President of Sudan, as a positive sign of re-establishing relations between the two countries after they had been deteriorating for years due to Sudan's close ties with Iran and the appearance of Iranian warships in Port Sudan.

The Saudi King is in a private visit to Morocco since July 14. He is due to celebrate his son's wedding in Tangier.
