Kuwait- Turkish soldier killed in clashes with PKK
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Aug 7 (KUNA) -- A Turkish soldier was killed while four others injured in clashes following an operation launched by the Turkish Army on Sunday, attacking the hideouts of Kurdish Worker's Party (PKK) in Sirit, southeastern Turkey, Turkish Security sources reported.
Anadolu News Agency quoted security sources as saying that fierce clashes took place early today between Turkish army personnel and PKK militants in Erov region close to Sirit, which resulted in the death of a Turkish soldier and injury of four others.
The wounded soldier was rushed to a nearby hospital in Sirit. He was in a good health condition.(end) ta.lb
