DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Service (RAF) has provided 62 income-generating projects in Erbil in Iraq, benefiting 350 families.

It implemented the projects in collaboration with partners in Kurdistan, including ‘Ain Al Mohtaj";, a Iraqi-British organisation.

RAF plans to launch more such projects in collaboration with its partners in Iraq.

Some beneficiaries in Kurdistan, Iraq, said they started with $3,000 to $7,000 provided by RAF and their projects had developed and their monthly income had increased.

A RAF delegation, led by Dr. Ayed Al Qahtani, Chairman, Board of Trustees, and General Director, RAF, visited Kurdistan to assess how the projects have achieved their goals.

Al Qahtani said RAF had studied such projects with partners to help Iraqi citizens and the percentage of success was beyond expectations. 'Such projects will push RAF to implement more to help more families.” He said the delegation also visited families which have disabled kids and needy families suffering due to conflicts and war.
