Dubai plans to double energy efficiency by 2030
(MENAFN) Dubai's energy efficiency will be doubled by 2030, while Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) joined the United Nation's Building Efficiency Accelerator to achieve this.
The efficiency policies can result in energy demand reductions of 25-50 percent, for both new and current buildings, saving money and reducing pollution.
The country now has access to a global network of 30 businesses, government organizations and technical experts who specialize in enhancing building energy efficiency.
Moreover, for every USD1bn invested in building efficiency, USD2bn are saved in new electricity generation and distribution costs.
