Morocco's jobless rate drop to 8.6 percent in Q2
(MENAFN) Morocco's jobless rate increased to 8.6 percent in the second quarter this year from 8.7 percent in the same period of 2015.
Furthermore, services, building activity and industry added 149.000 extra jobs to help offset 175.000 jobs lost in the agricultrural sector due to a severe drought.
However, the cereal harvest is predcited to fall this year, after last year's record crop of 11mn tons due to bad weather and farm job losses.
On the other hand, the industrial sector made 38.000 jobs, while construction and services added 70.000 and 41.000 jobs.
