Mideast carriers records 7.5 pct grow in traffic


(MENAFN) Middle Eastern carriers posted a 7.5 percent grow in June, while it was under double-digit growth registered earlier in the year.

Accordingly, capacity increased by 14.3 percent, which made load factor to dive 4.4 percentage points to 69.9 percent.

Additionally, amid the Jan- May period this year the region's increase was lifted off by the three big GCC carriers; Qatar Airways, Emirates and Etihad.

The passenger traffic data for June showed that demand increase by 5.2 percent, compared to the year ago period.
