Pakistan and IMF shake hands for USD6.4b EFF


(MENAFN) Government of Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) jointly announced that Pakistan will soon get the final tranche of Special drawing rights USD102 million under the USD6.4 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement.

In detail, the IMF Staff mission, headed by Harald Finger, recently completed the eleventh review of Pakistan's economic performance under the three-year programme EFF arrangement.

Moreover, the IMF Staff team met with Pakistan's Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Ashraf Wathra and senior government officials in Dubai this week.

Commenting on the overall performance of Pakistan's economy during the 36-month EF, Dar said Pakistan has met most of the targets.
