Jordan- Hot conditions forecast over weekend


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug.3 (Petra) -- A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, but they remain 3-4 degrees above their annual average; therefore similar hot conditions continue prevail across the Kingdom.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), similar weather conditions will remain on Thursday, but a further drop in temperatures is forecast on Friday to become around their seasonal average. Therefore, normal summer conditions will prevail in the hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot to hot in other parts of the country.

Winds will be northwesterly moderate, the JMD added.

Daytime temperatures for today in the capital, northern and southern areas will remain above thirties, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will spike to 41degrees Celsius dropping down to 30 degrees at night.
